REHABILITATION AND THERAPY

Short-Term Rehabilitation

Each of our facilities have In-house Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapists, ready to assist you in your recovery from surgery, illness, or injury. Our therapists are dedicated to providing the finest and most comprehensive rehabilitative care to each of their patients. Professionalism, dedication to craft and patient care are their hallmark. Our therapists continually seek the latest research regarding evaluation and treatment techniques, working with each patient to design an individualized program to help achieve their goals and maximize their outcomes.

Types of Rehabilitation Therapy:

Physical Therapy
Probably the most commonly known form of rehabilitation therapy, physical therapy is the treatment of disease or disability through therapy and exercise. Our therapists are ready to provide or assist with what ever therapy is needed, including gait training, bed mobility, wound care, and wheelchair positioning for the elderly.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is designed to help patients regain skills related to activities of daily living. Individuals may require this therapy if, as the result of an illness or injury, they have difficulty completing tasks such as eating, dressing, housekeeping or grooming.

Speech-Language Pathology
Speech-language therapists work with patients to help them regain or strengthen their ability to speak with ease and clarity. Our speech therapists utilize the latest technology and clinical processes to help patients regain the ability to communicate and improve swallowing.

The ability to communicate is one of the most important gifts we possess as human beings.

Any impairment in this area can affect all aspects of our lives, from work, to home, to play.

Speech Language Pathologists evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders.

HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE

Hospice Care

Hospice care is a special kind of care that focuses on the quality of life for people and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.) Palliative Care -Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.

Palliative Care

Palliative care is provided by a specially-trained team of doctors, nurses and other specialists who work together with a patient’s other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. Palliative care is based on the needs of the patient, not on the patient’s prognosis. It is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment.
